Start with the layout
Room dimensions depend on player height, swing, handedness and launch-monitor requirements. Follow the specific equipment manufacturer’s minimum dimensions.
Get the specification right
Test full swings safely in an open space and allow for the screen, enclosure, projector and strike position. Do not rely on a generic garden-room height.
Plan the details early
A taller building may affect planning options. Get the internal clear height and overall external height in writing before ordering.
Build a complete brief
Record internal dimensions, intended use, ventilation, services and access. Share the same brief with every supplier so quotes can be compared. Check planning and building-control requirements before committing to a particular height or footprint.
